A life coach offers you what you desire most - safe space and support to reconnect with yourself. Are you ready to ask for and receive the help you need? Read this helpful blog post for a detailed answer to your question on what a life coach does and how they can help you.
Coaching is an alliance where we are fully present and committed to deepening your self-awareness and designing an actionable roadmap. This is a future-focused process. Expect to learn about yourself, gain clarity about your situation, sit with the discomfort of personal growth, and find new ways to create impactful results. We are in this together.
We’ll find a coaching programme suited to your needs. Every coaching session is a structured conversation, where we work at your pace, mindful of your energy levels. You set value-centered goals, explore beliefs and dismantle obstacles, and celebrate your strengths and insights. You find new solutions to old problems. You consistently take actions to generate forward momentum and positive impact. You learn to trust yourself and others again with every baby step forwards.
I help you to help yourself. We begin with the end in mind. Where do you go from burnout? How do you bounce forward without repeating stress cycles? Who are you becoming? How do you want to rewrite the script and reconnect with yourself? The answers to these questions and more are found in your future-focused vision. I will help you set goals and create actions that are specific, achievable, time-bound. With no goal or planned outcomes, we have no coaching.
Depends. My clients typically arrive feeling overwhelmed, frazzled, and with a level of anxious-type thinking. As a life coach, it is my ethical responsibility to work with individuals who are resourceful and ready to move forward. Yes - we can work to address your thought patterns, emotions, and behaviour change. No - I do not diagnose mental health conditions or illness, and will refer you to appropriate healthcare interventions. Yes - we can work together if you are having counselling, therapy, or medication, with the caveat that you are ready, willing and able to set meaningful goals and take actions as best as you can.
Coaching is forward-facing. We work with you as a whole, resourceful individual in the present moment. Coaching differs from counselling and psychotherapy, where the focus is on unpacking the past root causes of mental illness or trauma. As a trauma survivor and mental health advocate, I understand the courage it takes to bounce forward. What happened to you is part of your sacred journey. When needed, we leverage its wisdom for the journey onwards.
