If you are currently working through trauma processing with a psychotherapist, or preparing to do so AND would like Coaching to support you with skills development and behaviour change, then this might be the space for you.
As a reminder: coaching is distinctive from and does not replace mental health therapy. Life coaches, leadership coaches, trauma coaches, and other types of coaches typically provide support in developing skills, help with accountability in working toward goals, and do not diagnose or treat any kind of mental health condition. Coaching can, however, work well in tandem with therapy.
You are not what happened to you. You are not 'your' trauma. Your story is sacred and we will hold this as the context, the rich tapestry that makes you YOU up to this point. However, the story or 'what happened' is not content for the coaching session.
Trauma Recovery Coaching assumes strength and capacity for growth. Throughout this journey in coaching, you will build and strengthen skills and behaviours around cognition, emotions, behaviour and results.
Our main areas of focus throughout our coaching partnership will be underpinned by:

Coaching will be your safe container to now draw out wisdom and evidence of your skills and strengths and use that to continue to create a richer fabric for your life.
> You will work towards goals and objectives meaningful to you. We will work to identify your top values so you're clear on what drives you and Why.
> You will befriend your symptoms and design strategies to continually build inner resourceful states.
> On the topic of resourcefulness, you will audit your sleep, movement, and other core self-care habits and create a clear action plan to manage and measure these.
> You will strengthen the ability to be responsive, not reactive, in the face of triggers.
> You will create a bespoke containment plan for when big, emotional reactions come to call.
> You will build shame resilience. You will choose how you move forward after a potential shutdown response through new coginitive and behaviour patterns.
> You will learn to notice when fragmented or disowned voices show up as imposter syndrome or a mouthy inner critic. And choose to listen to your intuition or Wisdom.
> You will update outdated beliefs that potentially leave you stuck and overwhelmed and build a bridge, step by step, to install empowering beliefs that power new habits and behaviours.
> You will discover the wisdom in your emotions and learn emotional agility.
> You will learn to reclaim your sense of agency - taking actions to strengthen the belief that you can and do act on what is within your control.
> We will do all of this work together, working at your pace to ensure your nervous system does not lead to a fight-flight-freeze-fawn state. We will get better at noticing which of these states you tend to default to, how this impacts you moving forwards, and adjust your goals and objectives accordingly.
This moment is a season. A valley in between two mountaintops.
